Larchmont Resident Carol Casazza Herman Elected to Bideawee Board of Directors

Bideawee, one of the country’s oldest animal welfare and pet adoption organizations with locations in Manhattan and Long Island, today announced the recent election of Carol Casazza Herman to its Board of Directors. Casazza Herman is an Independent Director for Haley & Aldrich, Inc., a national geotechnical engineering firm, as well as the Managing Director of her own sustainability advisory practice, Casazza Herman LLC.

A senior executive with deep operational, risk management, governance, and environmental expertise, Casazza Herman previously led Pfizer Inc.’s global environmental, health, and safety program and later advised companies as a senior consultant at Ernst & Young. Carol began her career as a scientist and then as an attorney for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Over the course of her career, she has presented, taught, and published, including serving as primary author of Board of Directors Oversight of Sustainability for the National Association of Corporate Directors. She was recognized as a 2025 Director to Watch by Private Company Director magazine. Throughout her career, she has served on numerous for-profit, non-profit, and political boards. Her rare combination of experience across private equity, professional services, and public company leadership makes her uniquely valuable in the boardroom.

Casazza Herman earned a BA in Biology/Systems Ecology from Rutgers College at Rutgers University and a JD from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. She and her husband currently reside in Larchmont, NY, and Naples, FL.
