MAMARONECK, NY — The Sedona Taphouse has an ongoing venture called Mondays Steak Out for Charity. The Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions collaborated with the restaurant in January to support the Fuller Center, and they'll be teaming up again to help more local nonprofits help people.

Sedona has set aside every Monday throughout the year to support local charities and service groups. They offer a special $8 steak lunch or dinner, donating $2 from each order to charity. They dedicate a full month on Mondays to one group.

For January, the Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions teamed up to match Sedona’s donation, up to $1000. Sedona well surpassed the $1000 Lions guarantee with the support of hungry Westchester residents, Lions officials said. The total donation was $3,014.

The Lions are again teaming up with Sedona with matching donations in February in support of LMCTV, in May for the Girl Scouts and in June to back the STEM Co-op Summer Camp.

The Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York is based in Westchester County, in what its organizers call "an area of both great wealth and great need." Its stated mission is to match the financial opportunities and volunteer interest with the needs of those seeking simple, decent places to live.
