Officer-Involved Shooting In Mamaroneck Reported; 1 Dead
Police from Westchester County and the village of Mamaroneck were investigating.

MAMARONECK, NY — A Mamaroneck neighborhood was saturated with police Saturday afternoon after a domestic incident that reportedly left one person deceased and sent several to the hospital. Gabriella Boyd, 2, died on April 28.
Police were called to a home on Chestnut Avenue around 1:30 p.m. and found a woman with a knife and a toddler in need of medical attention, according to ABC 7, which said both were later taken to the hospital.
The 28-year-old woman refused to drop the knife and was Tased by officers, the news station reported.

She allegedly attacked two officers with a knife when they tried to help her 2-year-old, The Journal reported, and it was at that point she was shot by police.

One person was pronounced deceased, according to The Journal. Four officers were reportedly hospitalized with minor injuries.
Westchester County and Mamaroneck law enforcement officers converged on the residential street for several hours following the officer-involved shooting.
