Playwriting is an especially appealing topic as during our formal education we are tested on our ability to write prose and structure essays, but are rarely given the opportunity to express ourselves dramatically. Dramatic writing is a natural form of creative expression and we are all natural dramatists. Many of us play out ‘scenes’ and ‘dialogue’ in our heads on a daily basis and often wish we had the opportunity for a ‘rewrite’. Playwriting can be an empowering tool to help us make sense of our lives. This program is made possible in part with funds from the Westchester Library System’s Unlimited Possibilites Mini-Grant Initiative supported by Entergy, Con Edison and the H.W. Wilson Foundation
