The Gourmand Award-winning author and “Spice Chronicles” blogger offers time-strapped home cooks a realistic way to cook healthfully and sustainably. She presents family-friendly recipes that marry the spices of India with the four seasons of an American backyard.

Rinku, a mother of two, strives to make sure her children aren’t short-changed on healthy and nutritious eating because of their busy schedules. She says that for her, Indian cooking is not about spending hours in the kitchen, but rather, it’s about “flavors, freshness, and love.”
Bhattacharya is a teacher of Indian cooking and the author of the blog, SPICE CHRONICLES. She is also author of the newly published cookbook THE BENGALI FIVE SPICE CHRONICLES. Rinku and her family are very committed to a sustainable lifestyle and she uses mostly local produce for her recipes. Rinku’s passion for food starts with cooking and trying new recipes and extends to pairing and drinking wine with food as well as creating unusual food combinations by fusing together various culinary influences.
