Trader Joe's Recalls Nuts Because of Possible Contamination

There are Trader Joe's stores in Hartsdale, Scarsdale and Larchmont in Westchester County.

A recall for pistachios, including Trader Joe’s and Wonderful brands, has been issued because they could be contaminated.

In an email sent March 9 to the company’s customers, Trader Joe’s said it had be alerted by the supplier of in-shell, roasted pistachios that the following products have been removed from store shelves and have been suspended from being sold:

  • Trader Joe's Dry Roasted & Unsalted Pistachios (UPC 0007 9990)
  • Trader Joe's Dry Roasted & Salted Pistachios (UPC 0007 9983)
  • Trader Joe's 50% Less Salt Roasted & Salted Pistachios (UPC 0011 1348)

The “best if used by” dates are from Oct. 27, 2016 through Nov. 4, 2016.
