Where To See Santa In Larchmont/Mamaroneck This Christmas Season

LARCHMONT/MAMARONECK, NY — Santa Claus will be back in Larchmont/Mamaroneck this holiday season after a couple of years of COVID-19 restrictions that made it difficult for kids to crawl up on his lap and make their case that they’ve been good boys and girls over the last year.

Visits and pictures with Santa are at the heart of many families’ holiday traditions, but the coronavirus pandemic gave them a lump of coal. Malls and other places took social distancing measures in both 2020 and 2021 to help contain the spread of the virus, moving Santa meet-ups largely online.

Virtual visits are still an option in many places, but there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person. In Larchmont/Mamaroneck, kids have several chances:

• Dec. 4 (*new date): Light Up Larchmont, events start at noon
• Dec. 10: Village of Mamaroneck Tree Lighting Social & Holiday Light Tunnel Walk, 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., Harbor Island Park
• Dec. 10: Village of Mamaroneck Santa, Elves & Frosty the Snowman at the Candy Cane Run, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at six different parks
• Dec. 10: Larchmont Volunteer Fire Department & Santa, Larchmont Post Office, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.; bring a letter for Santa and canned goods to be donated to HOPE Community Services
• Dec. 11: Village of Mamaroneck The Santa Claus Experience Holiday Light Tunnel & Display, 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
• Dec. 17: Meet & Greet with Santa Claus, Mamaroneck Public Library, 10:30 a.m. - noon
• Dec. 18: Skate with Santa and his favorite Elf! Town of Mamaroneck Hommocks Park Ice Rink, 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
