Nassau Man Coerced Teen Into Sending Illicit Pictures: Prosecutor
BREAKING: The man allegedly had "dozens" of images of child pornography with him and was already arrested in 2006.

A Nassau man was indicted on Monday on charges of coercing a teenage girl into sending him illicit pictures and sexually explicit text messages.
According to a complaint filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, David Murillo, 31, with a last known address in Valley Stream, was arrested in March after he allegedly posed as a 17-year-old boy online to meet a 14-year-old girl from Nassau County. According to interviews with the victim, she met Murillo on Instagram, where he was going by the name David Michaels and claimed to be a 17-year-old high school junior.
According to officials, Murillo sent the girl explicit pictures of himself and asked for pictures of her in return. The girl sent Murillo pictures over the social media platform Snapchat, which erases pictures that are sent after they are viewed.

In late February, the victim's mother found out about the online relationship and began posing as her daughter. On Feb. 28, she arranged a meeting with Murillo at a location in Hicksville. According to prosecutors, Murillo admitted to the girl's mother that he was there to meet her and that he knew she was 14 years old.
The mother called the police. When they arrived, police say Murillo gave them permission to look at his iPod Touch, which police say allegedly contained several images of child pornography. Murillo was arrested at the scene.

According to testimony from police, during an interview after his arrest, Murillo allegedly admitted that he went to the meeting hoping to have sex with the girl and also admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old girl from Nassau County in 2010.
Murillo gave police permission to search his electronics, and officers said they found dozens of photos and videos of sexually explicit conduct by minors, some of which appeared to be as young as 5.
This was not Murillo's first arrest for child pornography. On Dec. 18, 2006, he pleaded guilty in Suffolk County court to possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 10 years probation. He was still on probation when he was allegedly engaging with the 14-year-old girl.
Based on the alleged crimes and his record, Murillo faces a maximum sentence of 50 years in jail if convicted.
