Truck Crashes into Levittown Carvel
Firefighters removed the truck from the building and the driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
A truck crashed into the Carvel in Levittown Saturday around 4 p.m., shattering the front window of the building and injuring the driver.
Firefighters said that nobody inside the store was injured. The driver was transported to Nassau University Medical Center with minor injuries.
The Levittown Fire Department, located right next door to the Carvel on Gardiners Ave., removed the truck and then removed the rest of the plate glass window to secure the area. Chief Scott Fisher was in command of the operation.
