LONG ISLAND, NY - A total of 25 Long Island cities were ranked among the best small cities in America, according to WalletHub.
The website recently released its list of the top cities in the U.S. for 2018.
More than 1,200 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 were compared and ranked based on 40 key indicators of livability.

Some of the criteria that were used to measure the best cities include: housing costs, school-system quality and restaurants per capita.
Other factors that were included in the decision were safety, affordability, economic health, education, health, and quality of life.
