Bicyclist Killed in N. Amityville Crash
North Amityville man dies after being struck by a car Sunday night, police say.

Update Monday 3:25 p.m.: Police have ID’ed the victim as 61-year-old Patrick Green, of North Amityville.
Police are investigating a crash in North Amityville Sunday night that killed a bicyclist.
According to police, an unidentified male bicyclist was struck by a 1999 Lexus 300 that was traveling north on Route 110, near Jefferson Avenue, at 9:02 p.m. The bicyclist was transported by the North Amityville Fire Department to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle, Scott Walley, 50, of Amityville, remained at the scene and was uninjured. No criminal charges have been filed.
This investigation is continuing and detectives are looking for additional vehicles that may have also been involved in a secondary crash involving the bicyclist, police said. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
