Legislator D'Amaro Honors Deer Park Firefighter
Congratulations to Lieutenant Kevin Heissenbuttel of Deer Park, 17th Legislative 2013 Volunteer Firefighter of the year. A member of the Deer Park Fire Department since 2001, he currently serves as a Line officer. Whenever there is a job, task or community event, Kevin is the person to “get the job done,” according to the Department Chiefs. He maintains a full time job and somehow still finds time to be one of Deer Park’s most active members.

Under the first program, a limited property tax exemption is granted for residential and commercial building improvements meeting stringent “Green Building” standards. The second initiative waives the County’s sales tax for the purchase of solar energy systems.
