Is your home dry? And are you building back already?
Is your home dry? And are you builing back already?
If your home is still wet you should not be rebuilding until you know that it's dry.
By re-building to soon you will trap moisture in your walls and floors and create an environment for mold and rot to grow.

If your applying mold inhibitors to your wet building material it more then likely not work because the wood can't except any more moisture..... there for it wont work.
Applying a bleach solution is not effective either..... the chemicals that make up bleach evaporate to fast for them to work on wet wood and what is left is more water on your already wet wood.

What you need is a way to measure the Moisture Content of your Building Structure to determine if your READY to REBUILD........ and once the home is dry enough to except mold inhibitors and decontamination treatments, then you can start to rebuild not before.......
Also, if you noticed there are lots of green cars and trucks running around all over long island and most are from out of state.
What I'm saying is.... if your using out of state contractors you should be careful and make sure that your loss is being handled properly and get a certificate of completion from them......also ask in the event that, if a concern of yours comes into play......who will help you.. when they all left long Island, and went home to, as far away as California. AGAIN BUYER BEWARE.
