Lindenhurst Weekly Sold Homes Report - Period Ending 3/17/13

Four homes sold last week (week ending March 17) in Lindenhurst. For privacy reasons the house numbers have been omitted:

East John Street - Listed for $159,000, and sold for $150,000. It's a three-bedroom, six-room ranch and a short sale. This home was in poor condition, and the buyer paid cash. It was on the market for 210 days.

Surf Street - Listed for $225,000, and sold for $228,000. It's a four-bedroom, eight-room Colonial and a short sale. This home was in poor condition, and the buyer paid cash. It was on the market for 650 days.

North Greene Avenue - Listed for $239,990, and sold for $220,000. It's a three-bedroom, six-room Cape and not a short sale. The home needs many updates. It was on the market for 44 days.

South Strong Avenue - Listed for $219,000, and sold for $190,000. It's a four-bedroom, nine-room split and not a short sale. It needs a lot of updating, and it was on the market for 53 days.

It's nice to see a few short sales come off the market. Inventory is at an all-time low in Lindenhurst for regular resale homes, so I feel buyers will start buying more short sales in the months to come.
