Drunk Woman Drove Erratically With 3 Kids In Car: Police
The 28-year-old was allegedly driving drunk with the kids in the parking lot of a local Applebee's on Sunday, police say.
LINDENHURST, NY — A Copiague woman was caught driving drunk with three children in the car at an Applebee's parking lot in Lindenhurst this past weekend, according to Suffolk Police.
On Sunday officers saw a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe driving erratically in the parking lot of the restaurant on 600 North Wellwood Avenue and pulled the car over at 8:55 p.m., police said. When officers approached the car, they saw the three children ages one, three and seven, unrestrained in the backseat.
The driver, 28-year-old Sara Caceres-Portillo, was arrested and charged with DWI, aggravated DWI with a child passenger 15-years-old or younger under Leandra’s Law, second degree harassment and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

The three children were released to the custody of a family member at the scene.
