Duo Used Fake Cash, Hits Officer While Fleeing In SUV: PD

AMITYVILLE, NY - Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man and woman who tried to use counterfeit currency at an Amityville store in December.

The man and woman (pictured above) entered CVS on 349 Broadway on December 5 at 4 p.m., and attempted to use counterfeit hundred dollar bills.

The clerk then notified Amityville Police.

An officer responded and found the man and woman sitting in a dark colored SUV.

As the officer attempted to question the two, the woman backed up the vehicle, striking the officer, and crashing into a parked car before leaving the scene.
