Group Planning Car Parade For Frontline Workers In Lindenhurst

The event is set to take place this weekend to honor those working during the coronavirus crisis.

LINDENHURST, NY — A Long Island group is planning a car parade to honor local frontline employees working during the coronavirus crisis in Lindenhurst this weekend. The event, hosted by L.I. Needs a Dragstrip, will take place on Saturday, May 2.

The group will be meeting at Stop and Shop on Route 109 across from Pro Lube at 12:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 1 p.m.

"Please join us to bring a little happiness to everyone during this tough time," a member of the group wrote on Facebook. "We will hopefully be doing more of this kind of event as the nicer weather approaches."
