Independent Film to Shoot Scene at Top Bun

Long Island filmmakers of independent movie called 'The Night Never Sleeps' featuring two Lindenhurst natives will shoot at the Lindy business next week.

On Monday on South Wellwood Avenue will be the scene of an independent film shoot for , a new independent film from Director Fred Carpenter.

One of the scenes will feature Lindenhurst as a cop, partnered with the main character, played by Dan Brennan. made her film acting debut earlier this year as the star of the film Jesse.

One of the producers is also a Lindenhurst native: filmmaker . He's also in the movie as the villain "Ice Man."

"Being a Lindenhurst resident I've been to Top Bun several times. It's a great place to eat, a great establishment for the village. The owners are a great benefit to the community. It's really a perfect location for this particular scene," said.

The film has shot several scenes across Long Island in recent weeks, including one at  in this past Sunday, December 4.

It's a collective project among several Long Island filmmakers who've teamed their talents together under the direction of Fred Carpenter, to create an action-packed, "gritty police drama" about a police sergeant’s journey to track down the murderer of a fellow cop over the course of one night.
