LI Man Struck, Killed By Drunken Driver: Police
Travis Kernard was standing between two parked cars in front of his home when he was pinned in between them, police said.
COPIAGUE, NY — A 28-year-old man died after he was pinned against a car that was struck by a drunken driver in Copiague on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said.
At about 9 p.m., Travis Kernard was standing between two parked cars in front of his Hawkins Boulevard home when a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer being driven by Annmarie Donadeo crashed into one of the parked cars, pinning him against the other parked car, police said.
Kernard, 28, was transported by Copiague Ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. Donadeo was “in an intoxicated condition” and was arrested, police said.

Donadeo, 50, of Copiague, was charged with driving while intoxicated and held at the First Precinct for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip.
Detectives asked anyone with information about the crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers, a confidential police hotline, at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, according to the police.
