Lindenhurst Man Arrested In Connection To Shooting: Police
The 20-year-old was charged on Monday in connection to the shooting reported in front of a Bay Shore home Sunday night, police say.
BAY SHORE, NY — A Lindenhurst man was arrested on Monday for allegedly shooting a man in front of a Bay Shore home this past weekend, according to Suffolk Police. On Sunday, officers responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired and found a man shot on 2nd Avenue at 3:40 p.m., police said.
The man was standing in front of a house when a car pulled up and an occupant fired multiple shots, striking the man, police said. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Kenny Walker, 20, was charged with second degree assault and first degree reckless endangerment, police said. He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child because there was a child in the area at the time of the shooting. Walker will be arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.

Last week, calls to 911 reporting shots fired on Princeton Street were received on Monday at 11:22 p.m. and then again on Tuesday at 11:36 p.m. Shell casings were recovered at the scene after both incidents. There were no injuries in either incident.
