Lindenhurst Middle Students Honored at Breakfast for Champions

Breakfast honors students who exemplify Lindy Pride.

Lindenhurst Middle School students were honored at the Breakfast for Champions celebration coordinated by middle school educator Courtney Whalley on Jan. 20.

Held at the Lindencrest Diner, the breakfast, now in its 17th year, honors students who exemplify Lindy Pride at the middle school. Students are nominated by teachers for a variety of reasons including being great role models to the other students and being “rock-stars” in class. They are recognized publically with certificates of Merit in front of proud parents, teachers and peers.

“These students have the support of their teachers and parents and I know that they are on the right track because they are here today,” said Principal Frank Naccarato. “But students, never forget that you are all here because of the great things you’ve done. You should feel a great deal of pride in yourself. That’s your ‘Lindy Pride.’”
