Man Caught Driving With Crack Cocaine In N. Amityville: Police
The 66-year-old was also arrested for having over 50 suspensions on his license, police say.

NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY - A North Amityville man was arrested for driving with more than 50 license suspensions on Sunday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.
James Brown, 66, was driving a 2000 Dodge Caravan westbound on Prospect Street West in North Amityville when officers saw him pass a stop sign at the corner of Great Neck Road at 4:10 p.m., police said.
A check of Browns’ license revealed it had been suspended 54 times, police said.

He was also in possession of crack cocaine, police said.
Brown was charged with first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 1st, and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was held overnight at the First Precinct and will be arraigned on November 19 at First District Court in Central Islip.
