Police Take Down Multimillion-Dollar Shoplifting Ring: Report
23 people were allegedly involved in the shoplifting ring, which reportedly spanned across Long Island, NYC, New Jersey and Connecticut.
LONG ISLAND, NY - Police say they have taken down a massive shoplifting ring involving 23 people that spanned across Long Island, NYC, Connecticut and New Jersey, according to a report in the New York Post.
The group, which authorities say was led by Jersey City resident Stephan Williams and Long Island resident Arsen Murtov, stole millions of dollars worth of items from chain pharmacies in the Tri-State area such as Rite Aid, CVS, Duane Reade, Ulta Beauty, which were later sold again online, the New York Post reports.
In addition to Williams and Murtov, the following people were arrested in connection to the incident and charged with theft:
