Town of Babylon Commemorates Black History Month

Officials recently joined together for the town's 32nd annual Black History Month Celebration.

Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with members of the Babylon Town Board, fellow local officials and community leaders for the town’s 32nd annual Black History Month Celebration, presented by the town’s Department of Human Services. Held at Amityville Memorial High School, the theme of this year’s event was “African Americans and the Vote” and featured a keynote address from Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon, the first African American sheriff and first African American elected official to hold a non-judicial countywide office in Suffolk County.
