What Business Would You Like To See Open In Downtown Lindenhurst?
Village officials are looking for ideas for a downtown revitalization plan. What projects do you think should be included?

LINDENHURST, NY - Village officials are looking to create a plan for a revitalization project in downtown Lindenhurst, Newsday reports.
The village is working on creating a master plan for downtown Lindenhurst along Wellwood Avenue and Hoffman Avenue which has a total of 110 business, including 14 vacant ones.
Officials have already received $40,000 from New York State which will be used to "hire a company to identify underutilized properties, improve parking and lighting in the downtown area, and improve storm resiliency for areas south of Montauk Highway," as well as a grant for $200,000 from Suffolk County for a walkability study, according to Newsday.

So far, the new businesses that will be opening up in the area include:
- Sidelines Cafe - 43 W. Hoffman Avenue
- 7-Eleven - 194 Montauk Highway
- Expansion of Village Lanterne - 155 N. Wellwood Avenue
- A restaurant/bar - 147 S. Wellwood Avenue
- An event planner - 132 N. Wellwood Avenue
- Restaurant - 25 E. Hoffman Avenue
- Restaurant - 49 E. Hoffman Avenue
