American Heroes
It's Veterans Day and you'll hear and read some stories of service men and women. But few like this.

A veteran friend of mine sent me some photos of a wounded vet who served in Afghanistan. My heart went out to the sailor. But there was more to the story than who he was, how he was injured and where it happened.
It was a story of love, survival and support, that carried this young man through his ordeal. But there were few stories I’ve told in my blog where there wasn’t much need for words, no essay, no captions; the photos tell the whole story, eloquently.
But it’s the example in this love of country, and love of hearts that's most important. An example needed in these troubling times, these most troubling times:
