Americans, In Their Freedom

Sometimes looking at an event from a different perspective gives you, well… a different perspective.

If you look around our shore and boardwalk you can see a consistency of joy, of freedom. People jogging, swimming, playing volleyball even tossing a Friz. There is a sense of ease that some of us take for granted.

That plane you hear is hauling weekenders to the Hamptons, not bringing barrel bombs to our shore.

That scent is the sea…not sarin.

So many people on this cooling ball don’t enjoy such ease.

So it might be good for us to just take a better look into what we have every day.

Sure, we have our problems, serious problems. But since America declared its independence we’ve been on a roll of freedom. It was paid for by brave men and women who serve now and served long before us.
