If you love walking our shore, love seeing gulls glide, terns dive, ospreys soar, then you’ll want to see how to protect them.

You, like me are sickened by the sight of trash on our shore, especially those balloons with bird nooses hanging from them. Even in today’s environmentally enlightened times, people still toss trash skyward.

You’ve head the stories about shorebirds and marine life caught up in this trash or...ingesting it!

The City of Long Beach has done something about it, banned the intentional release of balloons. But we are not the lone community affecting shore life. And others have not yet followed our lead. But a new day is coming. Tomorrow is the start. YOU can make a difference.
