Be...As Long As You Can...Be

We have new life on our shore, new beginnings. But sometimes the tide of life is too much for some of us.

You know, if you follow my blog, that we've had a sad loss of a nest on the West end of our Long Beach shore. The jury is still out on how it came to be, but we hope it was not ended by human hands.

But new Oystercatcher chicks have entered our world near Magnolia beach. These fuzzballs are a delight to boardwalk balcony viewers.

I took many photos of them that I'd like to share. If you can get there soon you can enjoy the fuzzy show. If you aim to take photos from the beach please keep a safe distance. If the birds are screeching and chasing you, you’ve already gone to close.

But at the same time as new wildlife delights us we have repeated sad news of too many of us leaving our world prematurely…by their own hand.

This post of contrast between new life and tragedy is meant to keep some among us, or those close to us, on this blue planet…a little bit longer.

I sincerely hope it is of just a little help to someone who might need it:https://leebythesea.me/2018/06/12/be-as-long-as-you-can-be/
