Often, creative passion is right in front of us, sometimes even while we just wait on line.

We went to a well known local diner recently, the Laurel at Laurelton Blvd and Park Ave in Long Beach, NY. The Laurel is a very popular diner in our City by the Sea. So often there is waitlist to be seated. As we waited we engaged in conversation with the hostess, Lisa Lamontanaro.
Lisa had a quick smile that seemed to stay long after she greeted us, even as she turned again and again to scan the eatery for developing seatings. Such a job can be a tedious challenge for most of us. But Lisa's natural charm makes her perfect for the position.
But I soon learned that Lisa was a bit more than a diner hostess. She had a story to tell. And she agreed to meet with me at a later date to tell me about it. Lisa's a member, as are many of you, of a stalwart legion of passionate people. She’s also, as are many of you, a conduit of words from the past, words of support and...other words:
