It happens every Super Bowl Sunday. But we who call Long Beach home never get tired of it. It makes Super Sunday, well, more super.
They come by the thousands, from Long Beach, from Long Island, from points way more distant. They are the Polar Bear Plungers.
These hardy souls make Polar Bear diving iconic to Long Beach; they make Make a Wish immensely popular and successful. And they have fun doing it.
