City Of Long Beach: McAvoy Labor Day Race Set For September 6

The entrance fee for pre-registrants is $30.00 (before Friday, September 4 by 3:00 p.m.) and day of race registration will be $40.00.

For over 30 years the City of Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation has marked the end of the summer season with the Annual Robert C. McAvoy Labor Day Five-Mile Run. This years race will take place on Monday, September 6, 2021 and begins at 8:00 a.m. on Laurelton Boulevard and the boardwalk.

The entrance fee for pre-registrants is $30.00 (before Friday, September 4 by 3:00 p.m.) and day of race registration will be $40.00. Day of race registration and t- shirt pick-up will take place at Laurelton Boulevard from 6:30am to 7:30am.

Race awards will be given for the first three male and female winners in each age category plus the first overall male and female finishers; first Long Beach male and female finishers; and the First Physically Challenged Male and Female finishers. Race participants can also show their race number and enjoy the beach for free on race day.
