The City of Long Beach is warning residents of a possible scam related to the recent water problems the city has been having.

According to the city, people are going door-to-door claiming to be employees of the Water Department and trying to sell water testing kits. The city called this a "cynical ploy to monetize the recent boil-water alert."

The people who are selling the kits are not employees of the city.
