Customs: Man Smuggled Heroin in His Underwear
Incident happened last week at JFK Airport, CBP said.
A man was caught smuggling heroin in his underwear at John F. Kennedy Airport last week, according to U.S. Customs & Border Protection.
On April 1, Ivan Rodrigo Vidal Forero, of Colombia, arrived at JFK from Bogota and presented himself for inspection, officials said. During a physical search in a private room, CBP officers said they found two cylinders hidden in his groin area.
The cylinders were full of a brown powder that tested positive for heroin, CBP said.

Officials seized about two pounds of heroin worth $61,000 from Vidal Forero, officials said.
Vidal Forero was charged with federal narcotics smuggling and was turned over to Homeland Security.
