Customs Seizes Phony Designer Goods at JFK

More than $450,000 worth of fake shoes, bags, jewelry, and accessories seized this month, said Customs.

Hundreds of fake designer accessories were seized earlier this month at John F. Kennedy Airport, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials.

Specialists joined together in “Operation: Bad Gifts” and made 203 seizures of phony sunglasses, bags, shoes, and watches earlier this month, CBP announced Tuesday.

Officers said the fake goods, with labels from designers like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Michael Kors, Chanel, and Coach, had a retail value of more than $450,000.
