“Sean Coraggio was employed as a substitute security guard at the high school for 14 hours over a period of three days in September; during which time he was partnered with a veteran security guard for training purposes. All potential district employees, including security, are subjected to a thorough pre-employment screening, which includes fingerprinting, a criminal background investigation and a reference check. After failure to maintain the ongoing civil service requirements for the guard position, he was no longer called in for substitute employment.”

Coraggio was being held at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip. The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone who has information about Coraggio to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
