The Egg and I

Our everyday lives can be so caught up in the routine: work, chores, lists to check off. The sights and sounds and tastes that surround us get lost in it all sometimes. We tend to take a lot of life for granted...it’s just there.

Sure, we need to drink it all in. But most of all appreciate that in some places on our little blue planet there is no freedom to really enjoy life, to be safe, to have genuine protectors. There is a line of protection that keeps us all safe, that allows us to enjoy all of that which surrounds us.

That line was severely ruptured in Dallas recently. But it surrounds us every day, in every big city, every small town, every hamlet.

So with every step on sand, our boardwalk, every bike ride, every surf run…we need to remember and appreciate our protectors.

They are there for us. We need to be there for them:
