The original lyrics, written by Lenny Klein, bring the songs from the past up to the present, with topics like "Grandkids", "Computers", "Medication", "Golf" and many others. Now & Then is reminiscent of old time vaudeville shows, with the piano player, Norman Ward, taking part in some of the vignettes, and the singers and dancers (Jacqui Chaskell, Cookie & Lenny Klein, and Helene Tiger) helping to tell some of the jokes.
