The name Rosa Parks is familiar to all, but in this one-woman show, actress Sherrie Tolliver will make Rosa Parks come alive. Endowed with an inquisi- tive nature and strong sense of fair play, Rosa wondered as a child whether the water from the "colored" water fountain tasted different from the water from the "white" fountain. This moving production traces how Rosa handled various experiences, culminating with the famous Montgomery, Alabama, bus incident which sparked the modern civil rights movement. Ms. Tolliver, of the performing ensemble Women In History, has accumulated a rich cadre of characters in her repertoire.
