Fire Breaks Out at Oceanside Deli

No injuries were reported.

OCEANSIDE, NY - A fire broke out at an Oceanside deli on Saturday night.

The Oceanside Fire Department received a call from members stating there was smoke coming from the Corner Deli on Brower Avenue at about 7 p.m.

Firefighters worked to contain the fire to a kitchen in the back of the building while searching for residents in the apartments above the store and vented the building.

An aggressive attack by the members kept the fire contained to the one room, according to the fire department.

Firefighters from the Freeport, Long Beach, Island Park and Baldwin fire departments assisted in putting out the fire.
