Once again I bike-toured our Long Beach boardwalk, camera at the ready, inquiring mind poised to extract and report. But it was a relatively uneventful February Saturday on the boards. So I had a cuppa, chatted a bit, then headed back home.

But it was upon my home arrival that a story unfolded where I least expected, right where I began my bike trip hours ago.

I met a man, an ebullient man, who had a success story he was eager to unfold for me, and all I had to do was…listen.

His name was Gary and he had the secret of success.

What is success? You and I have asked that through the years. We all have our versions of it. Some believe success is the acquisition of big stuff, shiny stuff, maybe stuff our neighbors would wish they could have too. Stuff that will make us happy. And so, we are off to the races for riches.
