Heartbeats in the Sand

We face an onslaught of daily news telling us all about the serial killings, the suicide bombings, the beheadings. With all that going on why should we even care at all about the little things among us?

On our Long Beach, NY shores we have many "little things" that catch the attention of the present among us.

We know we can do little to stop the background of horror that we have so sadly become accustomed to. So we seek respite from it all in the beauty unfolding right in front of us.

Whether you live on the beach or in the mountains, a suburban back-yard setting or the city, there are always “little things” to enjoy. A squirrel, a rabbit, a possum, thousands of bird species, all so precious to behold…if your heart is in the right place, if you hear and see the heartbeat of life...all around you.
