Winter weather advisory in effect until Monday morning.
Well, that escalated quickly.
A winter storm advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. Monday for Nassau County, but snowfall total predictions have risen as heavier than expected snow falls across the region.
The National Weather Service is now projecting 4-6 inches of snow to fall across most of Nassau by the end of Sunday. Parts of central-eastern Nassau, such as Farmingdale, Plainview and Hicksville, could see up to 8 inches of the white stuff.
