Police: Woman Critically Injured in Overnight Shooting in West Babylon
Woman was shot as she sat inside a car, police say.

Police are investigating a shooting in West Babylon that critically injured a Wyandanch woman early Saturday morning.
Police say Antonia Brown, 22, was seated in a passenger seat of a 2007 Toyota Scion TC that was parked in front of 107 Governor Avenue when a person fired multiple shots into the vehicle at about 1:30 a.m.
Brown was struck multiple times in the torso and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was listed in critical condition, police said. No other occupants in the vehicle were injured.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
The shooting occurred about 20 minutes after a 14-year-old boy was shot in Copiague.
