ATLANTIC BEACH, NY - The New York Beach Club in Atlantic Beach hosted their grand reopening earlier this week under new ownership.
The club, formerly known as the New Plaza Beach Club, has undergone over a million dollars worth of renovations after it was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy in 2012.

Alexander Jacobson, President and CEO of Jacobson Realty and the New York Equestrian Center, as well as Long Island’s premier resort, New York Beach Club, recently acquired and renovated the luxury club, which features a new heated pool and many other amenities.
“The New York Beach Club in Atlantic Beach is officially reopened and provides family-oriented entertainment for Nassau County residents,” Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano said at the ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday. “Local businesses like the New York Beach Club are vital to the community and are the backbone of our economy.”

The New York Beach Club is the latest project for Alexander as a way to bring the community together in a five-star location with beach, sun, and fun activities for families who will want to call this their home for the summer months.
