Kaminsky Secures $4 Million For Long Beach Boardwalk Repayment
The money is the state's reimbursement for rebuilding the city's boardwalk after Hurricane Sandy.

State Sen. Todd Kaminsky announced Monday night that he helped expedite the state's repayment to the City of Long Beach for rebuilding the boardwalk after Hurricane Sandy.
Kaminsky helped secure $4,385,339.49 from the state, which was the 10 percent reimbursement that the state promised the city for rebuilding the boardwalk after the previous one was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.
Because of the city's current financial situation, Kaminsky said he pushed to get the reimbursement paid back more quickly, so the city could have some cash in its coffers.

“I am glad to have pushed for this much needed infusion of cash that the city deserves, and this reimbursement will go a long way toward helping the city’s finances," Kaminsky said. "I would like to thank Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Senator Chuck Schumer for their continued commitment to rebuilding Long Beach after Superstorm Sandy. During these difficult financial times for the city, I will continue to use the power of my office to help my community in anyway possible.”
