Long Beach 2019 Elections: Candidates, Polling Places, Hours
Here's everything you need to know to be ready for Election Day.

Election Day is here. If you haven't already voted early, hopefully you're getting ready to head to the polls today.
In Nassau County, voters will be decided on the makeup of the entire County Legislature, as well as the district attorney. In the Town of Hempstead, voters will be casting ballots for about half of the Town Board, as well as the supervisor, clerk and receiver of taxes. Residents of the City by the Sea are also electing three members to the City Board this year.

Here's what you need to know for Election Day:
Nassau County
District Attorney: Democratic incumbent Madeline Singas is facing Republican challenger Frank McQuade.

Legislative District 4: Incumbent Republican Denise Ford is facing Democratic challenger Jeffrey Saxon.
Town of Hempstead
Supervisor: Democratic incumbent Laura Gillen is facing Republican challenger Donald Clavin and independent challenger Diane Madden.
Town Clerk: Democratic incumbent Sylvia Cabana is facing Republican challenger Kate Murray.
Receiver of Taxes: Republican Jeanine Driscoll is facing Democrat Chandra Ortiz for the seat being vacated by Don Clavin.
Town District 3: Incumbent Republican Bruce Blakeman is facing Democratic challenger Shari Renne James.
Town District 5: Republican Christopher Carini is facing Democrat Lora Webster for the seat vacated by Erin King Sweeney.
City of Long Beach
City Council: There are nine people running for the City Council this year. Residents will vote for three among them. They are Democrats Elizabeth Treston, Karen McInnis and Ronald Paganini; Republicans Anissa D. Moore, Michael A. Delury and Lauren M. Doddato-Goldman; and Working Families Party candidates Chumi Diamond, Anthony P. Eramo and James E. Mulvaney.
