Long Beach Auctioning Abandoned Bicycles

The city will be auctioning off more than 100 bicycles of all types that have been left unclaimed.

LONG BEACH, NY — The Long Beach Police Department will be holding an auction of all the abandoned bicycles it has collected from around the city. There are more than 100 bicycles of all sizes and types available for auction.

The auction will be held on April 17 at 9 a.m. in front of City Hall, located at 1 West Chester St. All of the bicycles are being sold as-is.

You can arrive and inspect the bicycles between 8 and 9 a.m., and the auction will begin at 9. All sales must be made in cash, and the city said it reserves the right to reject any bids. All sales are final, and any purchase must be picked up the day of the auction.
