The other proposed changes include raising the price of the annual family pass for two adults and two children from $60 to $70 and the price of season passes for adults between 18 and 61 from $40 to $50.
Season passes for children between 13 and 17, would stay the same at $25 for residents and $50 for nonresidents and senior passes for those over 62 will also stay the same at $15 for residents and $30 for nonresidents.
If passed, the changes in price would take place effect immediately.
According to the agenda, city officials also want to offer the "added benefit" of free weekend and holiday bus/trolley rides to daily beach pass and seasonal beach pass holders during the Ocean Beach Park season, which began Memorial Day weekend.
The rides would result in a cost savings of $2.25 per ride to our residents and visitors as well as a green initiative of the City, hoping people will take advantage of this offer and reduce the number of cars on the streets.
Residents with season passes can leave their cars parked for the weekend and holidays and use the City transportation system to get around Long Beach for free, all summer long.
