Long Beach Delays Sale Of Summer Beach Passes
The city is awaiting new COVID-19 guidance for outdoor gatherings.

LONG BEACH, NY — The City of Long Beach has postponed the sale of 2021 beach passes due to uncertainty surrounding the state's COVID-19 beach restrictions.
Passes are expected to be sold in advance of Memorial Day weekend.
"I want to wait until a vote takes place and the prices are indeed final," Joseph Brand, Long Beach commissioner of recreation said at the monthly city council meeting. "...We also have a simultaneous launching of the new electronic beach passes, and I want to make sure that timing allows for us this is done once and it's done correctly."
